We attended the South African Cheese Festival on Friday. We were very fortunate to attend on this day as it was absolutely glorious weather for such an event. After entering and exploring the vendors; sampling treats as we went, we bought a few varieties of cheese, olives, baguette, and some wine and had a little picnic as the band played. These types of events are important to local producers of these delicacies and provide an opportunity for people to try new things from a variety of farms.
A cooking demo with celebrity songwriter and chef Nataniël.

Swiss stinky cheese called Münster. I shyed from it at first due to its odour, but started to enjoy it after a while. Wine may have played a role here.

The Checkers tasting area. We were served a Pinotage and a Shiraz and offered tasting notes by the sommelier. Then we were presented with a small steak to accompany the bold Shiraz.
