I have been getting an increasing amount of spam email to my gmail account. This is a brand new development as I usually reserved my old hotmail account for all website sign ups which often lead to spam. Fortunatly the Gmail spam filter works wonderfully and all this garbage gets put in its proper place – the good old spam folder.
What I love is the sponsered link which uses keywords in the message to display some advertisement or website relevant to the content of the email message. For messages in my spam folder, I am contstantly getting recipes for delicious food which includes spam (processed meat from a can) Examples include:
Spam Fajitas – Serves 8, add extra salsa if desired
Vineyard Spam Salad – Combine grapes, spam, peapods and onions in large bowl
Spam Imperial Tortilla Sandwiches – To serve, cut each roll in half
French Fry Spam Casserole – Bake 30-40 minutes
Spam Confetti Pasta – Preparation time 30 minutes
Spam Vegetable Strudel – Bake 20 minutes or until golden, serve with soy sauce (Yummy!!!)
I believe this a very well placed and tasteful (?) easter egg in Gmail!!! With no disrespect to the spam eating community of course.
And lastly just for fun:
