West of Toronto there are plenty of beautiful places to explore.  The Niagara Escarpment and surrounding areas have been kept quite natural and have had less development than the north east regions of the city.  My great friend Dorothy and I did a little road trip through the region exploring the Cheltenham Badlands, the amazing St. Elias Ukranian Catholic Church, and finally the Crafford Lake conservation area which has a rebuilt village of an ancient Iroquois Indian community.
