My new favorite hiking trail in Cape Town runs from Tamboerskloof up to the hump of Signal Hill. It is a wonderful and manageable hike which takes you to the Signal Hill road between the Lions Head and Signal Hill. We continued on to Signal Hill and had an ice cream!
