I spent a week in San Diego, California last month attending a software user-group conference for work. The conference ran from Monday to Wednesday and I hung around for a couple days after to have a look around the city. San Diego is a gorgeous city set against the Pacific Ocean in the bottom left corner of the United States. It was my first trip to California and I would definitely like to go back and explore more.
These first few pictures are from the first couple days exploring the city. As I arrived at the Hilton Bayfront hotel there were about 800 guests from another conference checking out. Needless to say it was chaos, as the hotel was trying to check out 800 people while another 800 were arriving for my conference! To make matters even more interesting, the conference that was ending was Comic-Con, the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world. So there were many interesting characters around many in costume!
