Another wonderful trip down to Tapaltos Beach near Bamfield on Vancouver Island. We had amazing weather for the trip. Hiked in Friday evening, spent Saturday visiting the Cape Beale lighthouse, then hiked back out on Sunday afternoon.
We had the delight of witnessing multiple grey whales who were just off shore from our campsite. The whales come in to shore to rub their bellies on the sand to remove barnacles. It was a real sight to see them that close and be in the water with them swiming in the pacific.
