After a good rest, we travelled from Tongariro to Mattatta Beach in the Bay of Plenty. We really loved Mattatta Beach and had an outstanding campsite on the beach. I could have stayed here several days but we only spent the one night. We enjoyed exploring the beach, Jessica found several shells of interest, and we had a lovely dinner and rest before moving on.
