We travelled to the little seaside city of Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty. There is a lot to like here, including the beautiful beach, Motoricki Island, thermal hot pools, and Mount Maunganui. I definitely could have spent more time here as well, a theme of this trip. We ended up camping north of the town at the Bowentown campsite.
