I was sad to leave the Bay of Plenty. We were now heading north to Auckland, but first a quick stop on the West Coast of the north island at Piha beach. We travelled partially through Auckland to get to Piha, navigating the tricky road network over the mountains and down to the beach. It was a lovely spot and we enjoyed walking the beach, exploring the rocks and headlands. We parked at Piha Camp and navigated the aggressive ducks who would at times try to enter our vehicle looking for food.
