We booked a boat to take us up to the Abel Tasman National Park. The boat serves as a water taxi for both day trippers and backcountry trekkers with several options for drop off and pick up points. We walked about 9km of beautiful sand and headland through the lush rain forest. We experienced a variety of weather with a little bit of everything, but a great day overall exploring this section along the Tasman Sea. Lots to see here and a fair bit of kayaking to be done as well.

Back at our campsite we enjoyed a pizza and cold beer night out at Breached Whale pub right on the beach.
