First week in Cape Town has been great. I have been spending my time getting the house in order, doing some banking, and getting acquainted with the area. I registered with the University early this week, so it looks like things are all in order.
I can get a shuttle that goes directly to the University in about 10 minutes which picks up just outside my door. In our area we have about a number of supermarkets, tons of interesting restaurants (this week we had thai and sushi), and many wine shops (lots of South African vintages I have never seen) I have yet to stop in the wine shop for the daily tasting.
I have been picking up Kim at work each day and we walk home together. It is a wonderful 25 minute walk through many interesting neighborhoods, and we often end up meandering on the way.
Here are a few pictures of the new pad that we getting very comfortable in. Today we are off to the beach – its about 35 degrees!!
