After being away for 5 years I finally returned to my family cottage on Mckay Lake in Muskoka. The main task of the day was closing up for the winter which is not the most fun work, but we found some time to enjoy the beautiful day.
- What to pick up on the way to the cottage? Bongs and pipes at this gas station???
- Creedon cabin
- Chipmunk
- The old outhouse
- As kids we called it ‘underwear island’ cause that is what we found there
- Paskevicius cabin
- Neighbors cabin
- Boathouse
- The best sauna ever
- Fun
- Bluejay eating peanuts
- Neighbors cottage
- Wolf as pet
- Plane trails collide
- Dad and Uncle
- Aunt Chris
Michael, It never ceases to amaze me what one can stumble on via the internet.
It may interest you to know that a number of Lithuanian families helped build the original Paskevicius cabin. One of those families was mine. Your grandparents were very generous and invited us to stay many times when I was a child. I still remember the sauna, sunbathing on the roof of the boathouse, the beautiful views and playing with the ouija board at night.
Say “hello” from me to your Aunt Chris….Laima
