I spent the latter part of last week in Vancouver at the Educational Technologies User Group Conference at the Vancouver Community College in downtown Vancouver.  As there were three of us going from the office, we opted to take a car and board the ferry for the trip over.  The ferry ride takes about 90 minutes to cross the channel from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay.  I was impressed with the ferry: it was quiet and comfortable, had a number of shops and restaurants, free WIFI and a huge top deck for sunbathing.  No sunbathing on this day though, it was c-c-cold up there!
